What's up guys?
I promised to post a video today with some tips from my experience with buyers in today's market. Welllll, I'm also a one man show and bit off a little more than I could chew - haha. I am still working on editing the video and will have that out ASAP!
"So Dre, why are you posting today?"
I wanted to share a little about me, the man behind scenes. It's rare that I show my vulnerabilities which is a result of my mindset from the "professional" world.
That changes now, after all this is Real Talk.
My goal for this blog is to be a resource for all things real estate.
If I wanted to just sell homes I would direct everyone to www.andre.realtor and call it a day.
(but seriously click the link).

Why did I become a Realtor®?
It began in 2021 while my wife (Nessa) and I were searching for our first home. I worked with an excellent agent that cared for and guided us through the process and what to expect. While it may not have been his goal - or did he realize the match he lit?, he emboldened me.
(He will be a guest on Real Talk Weekly, Stay Tuned)
I was always intrigued with real estate At the time I was a property manager of a large multi-family unit community, I watched more HGTV and DIY than anyone dare admit, I scrolled through Zillow and the MLS more than most do Instagram and Facebook.
Still, there was something different while personally going through the home buying process.
I'm an agent, now what?
The journey has been challenging and I've had some very low points along the way and I am not yet where I want to be as an agent.
However, I learned that I had to first change my mindset:
I can't think like an employee, I have to BE an entrepreneur.

NOW... now I get the time with my family that I didn't before because for 15+ years a job stole that time.
Now I get to do more of what I enjoy and love; I've been able to make music again, try new recipes and cook my families favorite meals, be involved with, enjoy, and guide my kids as they grow and develop.
Now every choice, decision, and act of service that I perform directly impacts my beliefs and what I stand for.
Now, I get to be unapologetically me.
Final Thoughts
I wrote this post with no end game in mind. I just wanted to open up, be vulnerable, and to share a little about me - there may be more in the future.
Fellow agents, maybe this will help to get you through the tough times that we all face, or maybe even one of you would like to share some insight with me or the readers. Either way I would love to connect!
Until next time,
